I am very saddened to have to sell this headdress; I used this headdress for educational programs that taught children about coyotes and their role in Pennsylvania ecosystems. As a headdress, she was styled after the legends of shapeshifters that donned animal skins until only their eyes were visible.

The pelt was sourced from a coyote hunted for population control measures in the southwest--she was not killed for her fur, beautiful as it is. Her fur is not dyed; the black coloration is a result of a melanistic condition that affects pigment.

I created this headdress on the night of the full moon. She has been purified using herbs, holy water, smudged using sage and crowfeathers, and blessed twice on the Summer and Fall solstices. After any educational visits, she was smudged again.

This headdress is definitely small, approximately 4 feet in length. It affixes to the wearer via several black leather straps and ties under the chin, around the shoulders, and the hips or abdomen depending on the wearer's height. Small black bells are almost unnoticeable save for the smallest of jingles when walking.

I put a lot of love into this headdress, especially because of how damaged the pelt was when I received it. Unfortunately, I must let go of her if there is any chance for me to afford my tuition payments for next semester.
